At Sapien, we’re building autonomous coworkers for financial analysis at enterprises. To do this, we’re building what we call the company representation, or the embedding model for company financials. We build up contextual embeddings for every single financial data point within a company and produce a knowledge graph, off of which our agents can tackle any complex financial workflow a CFO might throw at an analyst. Our systems are already deployed at manufacturing software, and services businesses where they’re saving hundreds of hours each month and uncovering multi-million dollar mistakes.
Our culture is R&P: research and product. Traditionally, doing research entails working in the back of a lab for months and coming up for sunlight on rare occasions. At Sapien, we’re all about pushing the bounds of possibility while iterating rapidly. We build everything in-house, and we’re constantly shipping new representations, frameworks, UX paradigms, in-house models, and more. The goal is to move fast and iterate relentlessly with customers, gathering data on which features are most useful or work best, and which are less important so we can push the bounds of both underlying tech and product experience.

As an AI-Human Interaction Engineer, we’re excited about people with experience building AI-centric systems that come from a productizing angle. Your goal will be to create new UX paradigms that enable anyone, regardless of technical background, to interact with deeply technical systems like Sapien in a clean and interpretable manner. This entails both building UX structures and working on the translation layer between agents and users.
